First lady hosts elite, A-list celebrities to help GazaEmine Erdoğan, the wife of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is hosting a group of first ladies from the Muslim world and A-list celebrities fromaround the globe to give a message of "womanly compassion" to the people of Gaza who have been subjected to Israeli atrocities for more than two weeks.Erdoğan will host a fundraiser to send humanitarian aid to war-torn Gaza.Among the confirmed participants are the Syrian first lady, Asma Assad;Queen Rania of Jordan; the Lebanese first lady, Wafaa Suleiman; the wife of the emir of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser al Missned; the Azerbaijani first lady, Mihriban Aliyeva; and the daughter of Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi, Aisha al-Qaddafi, will be among the political figuresparticipating in the fundraising event. The wife of former British PrimeMinister Tony Blair, Cherie Blair, will also be present at the meeting.Erdoğan also invited woman celebrities from all over the world. Lebanesesinger Julia Boutros, Tunisian singer Latifah and African-American top model Naomi Campbell are among the confirmed participants. The event will take place today at İstanbul's Four Seasons Hotel.
